Lee Shearer MD
Dr. Shearer is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has over fifteen years of experience practicing primary care internal medicine. After completing her undergraduate studies at Harvard, she was recruited to the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine on a merit-based full scholarship and graduated with AOA honors. Thereafter, she completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Weill Cornell New York Presbyterian Hospital where she was recognized for “excellence in clinical care, compassion, and humanitarianism” and served as Chief Resident. She completed fellowship at Columbia New York Presbyterian Hospital, and has a secondary board certification in Adolescent Medicine.
Dr. Shearer spent her early career as Program Director for the Primary Care Internal Medicine residency program at Weill Cornell New York Presbyterian Hospital where she helped recruit and train the next generation of primary care leaders. She was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) for her work in medical education. Since 2020, she has taught medical students and provided primary care to a large and diverse patient panel under the auspices of a regional health care group.
Dr. Shearer's style of care is notable for being thorough and patient-centered. Her background as an educator clearly informs the way she helps patients to understand and weigh different medical and lifestyle decisions related to their health.
