Dr. Lauren Hogshire is honored and excited to join Princeton Lifestyle Medicine as Dr. Barbara Brown transitions to retirement. Dr. Hogshire has been the Medical Director of the Princeton Medicine Physicians Hospitalist Service since October 2018 and the Hospitalist Section Chief since 2019. As such, she was responsible for the clinical, educational, and quality efforts of hospitalist services at Penn Medicine Princeton Health. Previously an attending hospital physician at Rutgers-RWJMS, she has worked clinically at Princeton Medical Center since 2014.
As a clinician leader Dr. Hogshire was dedicated to improving inpatient care at the Medical Center while strengthening ties between the institution's hospitalists and the community providers that the hospital serves. It is in this capacity that Dr. Hogshire and Dr. Brown first engaged as colleagues, sharing patients that required hospital based care.
Dr. Hogshire is a longtime Princeton community member, having returned to Princeton in 2010 after completion of her internal medicine residency at Weill Cornell - New York Presbyterian. Before attending Columbia University's College of Physicians & Surgeons for medical school, she attended Princeton University where she learned that her upbringing on Long Island had given her the wrong impression of The Garden State!
In joining Princeton Lifestyle Medicine, Dr. Hogshire is fulfilling a lifelong career goal of serving in the community where she lives. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Hogshire, and note several meet and greet opportunities in the coming months.
